Don't forget to visit the Museum of the Bavarian Kings, located directly underneath the castles for an impressive look into the world of the Bavarian royal family.

Hire one of our own bikes (electric bikes also available) and experience the diverse Allgäu landscape around Hotel Filser. You can also partake in the classic Allgäu pastime of hiking – we even offer guided walks! There are numerous mountain routes for both beginners and experienced hikers as well as mountain railways nearby which lead to the mountain peaks. Pass by alpine pastures and quaint cottages where fresh, hearty, home-made meals are served in Allgäu tradition. Of course in the winter there are also lots of opportunities to enjoy active days out in the magnificent foothills of the Alps. You can go alpine skiing in the region's ski resorts, cross-country skiing (for example in Schwangau, underneath the castles of Ludwig II), snowshoeing, ice skating on the natural lakes, take a sleigh ride, feed the forest animals and much more!
